Our President Alison Shoemaker

It is with great anticipation that I step into the Presidency of the MBA of Jacksonville for the 2010-2011 year. We have such an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those with whom we come in contact. Whether it is with our peers in the mortgage industry with whom we can provide fellowship and support; our fellow citizens in the Jacksonville area who need reassurance; or those in need to whom we provide our support through our charitable donations efforts, we will stand proud and say, “We are the Mortgage Bankers Association of Jacksonville and we are here to be of service to you”.
Our new Board is made up of dedicated, talented professionals who are as excited as I am to be able to take our Chapter to the next level. We will work hard to grow our membership and bring in superior speakers to our events. We will seek out ways to improve our standing with the local consumer community, and we will continue to support our Charity of choice as we have done so well in the past.
Change is a way of life and we have all dealt with a lot of it in the past couple of years. We will look for and embrace the change that is good and meaningful to our industry and resist the change that is harmful. We will also ask for wisdom and guidance in identifying the good from the bad. Our local Chapter will continue to support and be a valued asset to the MBA of Florida and to the National MBA.
I am honored and privileged to hold this office and I pledge to be the best I can be with your help.
Thank you.
